ZW38 Black Label Chorus Pedal

The MXR ZW38 Black Label Chorus is Zakk Wylde's secret weapon for generating those monsterous, three dimensional chorus effects, that are so thick rattle your teeth.  The Black Label Chorus uses rugged analog circuitry, for authentic Zakk Wylde tone. It uses High and Low cut filters, plus Level, Rate, and Depth controls to dial in that vintage tone or any other you may want. It's equipped with two 1/4-inch outputs, so you can lead it to two separate amps for stereo effects. The positive acting foot switch also engages a bright, blue LED to tell you at glance when the effects are ON. True Bypass (foot switch OFF) lets our natural guitar signal pass through unaffected to your signal chain and amp. Built into a heavy duty housing, the ZW38 is ready for a lifetime of hard work and punishment.

What it does:The chorus effect takes a nice, clean audio signal and adds to it multiple copies of itself that are time delayed and pitch shifted just enough to sound like additional instruments or voices in close harmony. The result is essentially a chorus of notes or guitars, playing in close harmony; but all of which are under the command of just one guitarist. It produces an effect that adds extensive width and texture to your sound. The extent of the effect is quite controllable, and can be taken to great extremes, as Zakk always does.
