Brad Davis' signature string is the SIT Royal Bronze medium gauge (13-56).  Brad has been a fan of SIT his entire career, and he uses them on all his guitars.  When asked why this particular brand, Brad said, "Due to my hectic touring and recording schedule I change strings frequently.  With every other brand of string that I have tried there's an inconsistency in that  when the strings were brand new right out of the package they would sound a little too bright for my taste.  In a day or two they would settle in and sound just the way I liked them, but shortly after that they would sound dead and I was ready to change strings again.  I needed to have a set that would sound the way I wanted them to sound right when I put them on the guitar and maintain that sound consistently up until the time I was ready to change them.  The SIT strings do exactly that.  And as the name SIT implies, they Stay In Tune!  SIT also put a "short twist" on the set that I used, which I needed.  At the time I started playing the SIT strings the saddle on my guitar was positioned real close to the bridge pin holes.
