Power Wound strings are made with premium nickel plated steel, round wrap over a hard tempered hex steel core. Built with state of the art winding machines and the Stay in Tune processes, Power Wounds deliver rich, full voiced tone, and great sustain. SIT also treats every string with an exclusive SIT (Stay-In-Tune) process in which a chemical adhesive is applied to the twist at the ball end, to ensure there will be no slippage when you tune them up. Plus they really do stay in tune. The 11-50 set is made for Rock & Roll, R&B, Jazz and Blues.This set comes with both a bare and a wound third string, so you have the option of installing a bare 0.018 inch bare string, or a 0.020 inch Power Wound string, to suit your style. Nickel plated steel has long been the standard in guitar strings, and Power Wounds work fine on every electric guitar, with single coil or dual coil pickups.
