The Paracho Elite
Laredo is a full bodied, authentic, traditional quinto featuring a generous cutaway. The Laredo has a resonant cedar top, mahogany back and sides, a rosewood finger board and a carved rosewood bridge. This combination of top and body tone woods give the Laredo a warm and rich tone, with a strong mid-range voice. The cutaway body is beautifully bound in two-toned binding, adding the visual accent of traditional Mexican instruments. A gloss finish adds further beauty to enhance the beauty of the wood. The artisans at Paracho Elite have been making fine Mexican instruments for generations, and their skill and craftsmanship is apparent in the appearance, workmanship, fit and finish, and the sound of this handsome quinto.

The bajo quinto has five courses of double strings, without the double course of low E strings found on a bajo sexto. The tuning is A-D-G-C-F, from lowest to highest string courses. This gives the quinto the brighter and higher voice that's hard to mistake in Mexican music.

Just plug in your instrument to a standard guitar amplifier with a standard 1/4-inch guitar cable, and you've got instant amplification and EQ ability, with the quality sound and versatile tone shaping. The system consists of the new Fishman PRESYS preamp unit which lets you zero in on the sound you want, a matched under-saddle pickup, and 1/4-inch jack. It runs on its own 9-volt battery box and a built-in tuner. This system normally retails for $185 or more installed; but you can have it in your instrument for just $94.89 extra. - Diamond Hard Shell Wood Case: You can also have your instrument shipped to you in a handsome Diamond model 5019 hard shell wood case. The case is covered in black or brown tolex, and features a heavy duty carrying handle, metal latches, hinges, and trim; plus a plush lined interior with a storage compartment for your instrument accessories. $49.90 extra.
