The
Super Comp is an in-line compressor effects pedal that evens out the signal to your amp, no matter how hard or softly you play. For years countless pros have relied on the original
MXR M-102 Dyna Comp to give them the edge in the studio and on stage, to create that tight, percussive sound heard on countless pop, rock, and country hits, or to sweeten the tone, fullness, and duration of their sustains. MXR's M132 Super Comp is a marvelous little guitar effects unit based on the classic Dyna Comp, updated to meet the needs of today's guitar players. The M132 is compatible with today's hottest electric guitar pickups and delivers classic compression without damping out your sustain. The Super Comp gives you a secret, invisible boost to help you lock in on your tone, with simple and intuitive controls. The foot switch toggles the effects between ON and BYPASS, with a bright blue LED to tell you when it's ON. In BYPASS your input signal passes straight through, unaffected and just as loud and clean as ever. The Output knob adjusts the compression (attenuation) effect. The Attack Level knob set the attack attenuation setting, and the Sensitivity knob controls the compression level. The Super Comp is powered by a 9 volt battery, accessed through the bottom cover; or can also run on external 9 volt DC from a Dunlop
ECB-003 AC adapter, or a Dunlop
DC Brick. The rugged housing is die cast zinc, and can be mounted on standard pedal boards or can stand alone in your guitar signal chain. Three knob sleeves are included, and the knobs are painted with luminous dye that collects light from the surroundings, and glows to let you see your settings when the stage lights are turned down.
