The MXR Distortion + gives you real Heavy Metal crunch and distortion, with just two simple controls: Output and Distortion. With the M104, you can dial in the degree of distortion you want, from very mild to OVERPOWERING. In the middle ranges of the Output and Distortion controls, you will find soft-clipped distortion tones that sound truly retro-authentic, especially when mixed just a little reverb. Increasing the Distortion produces classic fuzz. A simple design, it's rugged and reliable, and can be mounted on a standard pedal board or used alone in your guitar signal chain. Since it's introduction in the 70s, it has become the foundation of the Metal sound, and is enjoying a new re-discovery today.

 

Controls: Foot switch toggles effect ON/BYPASS (red LED is on for ON); Output knob controls overall output gain; Distortion knob adjust the ratio of clean signal to distortion.

Power:  one 9 volt battery, or external 9 volt input from a Dunlop ECB-003 AC adapter or a Dunlop DC Brick (sold separately).

MXR is owned and operated by Dunlop Manufacturing, who has revived the company name and continues production of the classic MXR stomp boxes.
