MXR M103 Blue Box Effects Pedal

 

The MXR M103 Blue Box guitar effects pedal takes your straight guitar signal, fuzzes it up, then duplicates it again two actives lower. You can control the output and the mix between the dry signal and the effect.  Using it 100% wet is quite an experience, but more recognizable sounds appear as you dial in more dry signal. The Blue Box is know for having a chaotic personality that can make each session a totally unique experience. When you step on the foot switch, the bright red LED comes on to let you know the effects are on. Press the foot switch again and you are in True Bypass, and your guitar signal will pass straight through, unaffected. The Output knob sets the total amount of gain, while the Blend knob adjusts the ratio of dry (clean) signal to wet (effects) signal.

The MXR Blue Box effects pedal by Jim Dunlop can be used alone, or easily mounted to a standard pedal board.

 

Power:   a single 9 volt battery, Dunlop ECB-003 AC power adapter, or Dunlop DC Brick regulated power supply.
