The MXR M-80 Bass D. I. + is the effects pedal the professionals use to get their individual signature bass tones. This amazing little black box provides all the essential features and options for controlling, shaping, distorting, or just enhancing your electric bass. An extremely versatile unit, the M-80 D. I. + (Digital Interface Plus) gives you extra controls and power to shape your tone, and to let you interface directly to a PA system or a mixing board. With both a standard 1/4-inch and an XLR output, you can go straight to an amplifier, a PA system, or a mixing board. It starts with a clean preamp with finely tuned EQ, so you can custom color and add punch to suit your needs. It also has a superb distortion feature that It even has a Noise Gate to help you cut out line noise and find the sweet spot in your tone. Built form the highest quality components, the M-80 gives you choices form warmth and transparent tone, to earth shaking roar, with simple analog controls that don't make you scroll down through a menu to find your settings.
Controls:
Left Foot Switch - toggles Effects between ON and Bypass; the red LED indicates ON.
Right Foot Switch - toggles the Distortion channel IN/OUT; a blue LED indicates IN
Bass/Mid/Treb - EQ controls for fine tuning your tone
Color - toggle activates a preset clean EQ setting, optimized for bass when Effects are OFF
Clean Volume - this knob adjusts the output volume of the clean channel, when he Effect and Distortion are OFF
The following controls are active only when Distortion is engaged:
Distortion Volume - adjusts the output level
Blend - controls the mix between distorted/clean signal
Gate - this switch selects Noise Gate In/Out
Trigger - this control works with the Noise Gate to adjust the gate level, to cut out hum and hiss from the distortion channel
Gain - sets distortion level
Phantom/Ground - this switch selects between Direct Output Ground Lift (switch up) and Phantom Power (switch depressed)
Power: a single 9 volt battery, or Dunlop
ECB-003 AC Adapter (9 volt DC), or phantom power form a mixing board via a microphone cable.
