The LANIKAI UA-21 is every bit "the standard ukulele", in it's standard size, basic amenities, raw beauty, and superb natural ukulele sound. The top, back, and sides are all nato wood, which is much like mahogany in its appearance and acoustic tone form it figure-8 body. The body is also bound with white binding to add a taste of class, and to protect the edges of soundboard form casual damage. The fretboard is rosewood, with 12 standard frets on a standard 13 inch scale length. The UA-21 also features geared tuning machines with white tuning buttons. All four nylon ukulele strings feel right at home on the LANIKAI UA-21, a great ukulele from Hohner. It's a great standard ukulele, at an honest price.
The ukulele has always been "the under dog of all instruments" (Jake Shimabukuro), but it's now gaining ground on the guitar, in various genres. This is the right time to take up the ukulele...or to give one as a gift to a deserving student or friend. It's easy to play and will bring hours of enjoyment ...and gives restless minds and hands something constructive to do. Learn the ukulele...it will be fun.
