The Korg GA40 guitar and bass tuner is a valuable instrument accessory, to help you tune easily and accurately.  It has a large, easy to see display with an LCD needle style display to guide you precisely to the perfect pitch. The GA40 fits in your shirt pocket or guitar case, for convenient access when needed. It is designed specifically for guitar and bass, and has all the functions you need and none of the useless bells and whistles. The GA40 gives you two basic tuning modes: Meter Mode and Sound Out. In Meter Mode, the built in microphone detects the pitches you play, and displays the nearest note's letter name, and the LCD meter indicates left or right to tell you if your pitch is sharp or flat. You can also plug you guitar or bass directly into the GA40 via a standard guitar cable, for silent tuning. The LCD needle moves as you tune, to guide you to the exact pitch, along with the red and green LEDs above the meter display. When you select the Sound Out function, the GA40 emits tuning pitch tones so you can tune by ear. The GA40 has the range to support seven string guitars and six string basses.  It even covers dropped tunings, with five semitone flats below standard pitch for each guitar or bass string.
