As with all EXL's, they feature nickel plated steel round wrap over a hex core, to provide excellent magnetic characteristics for single coil and dual coil pickups. Nickel plated steel wire is precision wound over steel hex cores, to create an exceptional electric guitar string with precise intonation and unmatched consistency, set after set. D'Addario's EXL115W's have a smooth feel, which is easy on the fingers and reduces fret wear. Though slightly heavier, this set gives your a firmer feel and response, yet it is still easy to bend for blues and rock. The wound third string fills out the blend for rhythm and jazz, and extends the versatility of this set.

Peter Mazza is an exciting jazz guitarist recognized for his passionate and original compositions as well as his creative and virtuoso interpretations of jazz standards. Blending clean and fluent lines with colorful and inventive chord voicings, he creates imaginative ensemble arrangements as well as lush solo guitar pieces. A native of New York City, he grew up in a musical family and began playing Jazz semi-professionally. He advanced to recognition with Thelonius Monk, where is career took off. He has appeared in concert with many noted Jazz guitarists and plays through out the NYC Jazz scene.

His Jazz is based on his Gibson archtop, but he also plays acoustic guitar in an array of altered tunings, when playing with his trio (with saxaphone and bass). Peter creates live loops with his Roland RC-20 pedal to provide a base of ambient texture grooves that underpin his interactions with the trio.
