The classic Phase 90 contributed to the unbelievable tones on "Eruption", "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love", "On Fire", and "Atomic Punk", plus many other Van Halen master pieces. And it just keeps getting better with the new MXR EVH-90 phase shifter, a collaboration between Eddie Van Halen and Dunlop Manufacturing that generated a totally redesigned and updated version of the Phase 90. Complete with new EVH graphics on the outside and additional features inside. There's a new "Script" button (recalling the script style lettering used on the original MXR logo) which lets you change phase characteristics form "modern" (switch OFF) to "vintage" (switch ON). The Speed knob regulates the overall effect rate, which is inactive in the bypass mode.The foot switch toggle activates a hard to ignore, bright blue LED light to let you know when the unit is ON. The LED goes out for True Bypass, which lets your guitar signal pass straight through and remain clean, with no degradation of tone or volume.
The EVH-90 is powered by a 9-volt battery, or can be driven by an external 9-volt supply such as the Dunlop
ECB03 AC power adapter (polarity: positive barrel, negative center pin).
