The Ovation Mini-Applause AE13 acoustic electric guitar combines the Ovation roundback design and technology, professional features, and extreme value into slightly smaller guitars. Designed for younger players and guitarists with small hands, this three-quarter-size steel-string guitar packs lots of sound into a small package. It has a short scale length of only 23-5/8 inches (600mm), but a full 1-11/16 inch (42 mm) nut width. This makes the Mini-Applause a great travel guitar. So when you hit the road, this little roundback is a perfect companion. The AE13’s easy-to-use onboard DJ2 preamp has advanced tone-shaping EQ to help you refine your amplified sound, so it's small size sounds big.
The Mini-Applause AE13 also makes a great student guitar, for those who want the capability of amplifying their sound. The AE13 is not only easy to play, but it rewards the player ( or student player ) with great amplified sound, to satisfy that need for accomplishment. The short scale length means the strings will carry a lighter tension than a full size guitar, which makes them easier to play and fret.
