Being flat wound and stainless, they seem to last forever, a fact well known to the legendary MoTown bassist, James Lee Jamerson (1936 - 1983). Jamerson got the most out of his strings, and never changed them until he wore them out or they broke. He loved them so much that people began referring to La Bella 760M's as "Jamersons". He played a Fender Precision electric bass, but strung it with La Bella bass strings. These are the strings he played.
